BOREAL WOODS NATURE CENTRE
Outdoor Classroom programs at the Boreal Woods Nature Centre are held in the southern edge of the boreal forest near the Grand Beach area of Lake Winnipeg, about an hour from Winnipeg.
The site includes a classroom and dining facility for large classes. Besides various trails that access diverse areas of the forest with native plants, trees, mosses, lichens and fungi, the Manitoba Model Forest Demonstration Trail winds through the property highlighting forest sustainability and management.
